YESTERDAY’S NUMBERS, WE HIT A HIGH OF 34 WITH A LOW OF 27. THAT 34 CAME LATE IN THE DAY AND YOU CAN SEE IT’S WELL BELOW OUR AVERAGE OF 42. AND WE’RE GOING TO CONTINUE WITH TEMPERATURES STAYING BELOW AVERAGE AFTER TODAY. TODAY WE’RE GOING TO SEE TEMPERATURES ACTUALLY ABOVE AVERAGE OUT AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT. WE DID PICK UP AN INCH AND A HALF OF SNOWFALL FALLING RIGHT WITHIN OUR CRITERIA THAT WE EXPECTED. WE HAD A COATING TO TWO INCHES WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS. AND AS WE TAKE A LOOK AT OTHER SNOWFALL AND SLEET, REPORTS, GREENCASTLE IN FRANKLIN COUNTY HAD OVER 2.5IN. EPHRATA IN LANCASTER COUNTY, 2.5IN. LEBANON HAD TWO INCHES. CASHTOWN AND ADAMS COUNTY JUST SHY OF TWO INCHES IN LOGANVILLE AND YORK COUNTY AN INCH OF SNOW. HOWEVER, THERE WERE AREAS IN YORK COUNTY THAT PICKED UP A LITTLE BIT MORE THAN AN INCH. WE HAVE WET ROADS OUT THERE RIGHT NOW, GETTING A BREAK FROM THE STEADY RAIN AND SLEET AND ICE THAT WE HAD LAST NIGHT. YOU CAN SEE CARS MOVING JUST FINE, BUT DON’T LET IT FOOL YOU BECAUSE TEMPERATURES ARE STILL HOVERING JUST ABOVE FREEZING. SO WE DO STILL HAVE SOME MIST AND DRIZZLE AND SOME LIGHT RAIN FALLING ACROSS THE AREA. AS OUR LIVE LOCAL EIGHT IS PICKING UP ON THAT NICELY. AS I ZOOM OUT THOUGH, OUR COLD FRONT’S OFF TO THE WEST. AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL LIFT THROUGH OHIO AND IN THROUGH THE STATE, AND THEN DRAG A COLD FRONT THROUGH LATER THIS AFTERNOON SO YOU CAN SEE A LOT OF MOISTURE STILL TO GET THROUGH. SO THE RAIN WILL PICK UP AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE LATE MORNING HOURS INTO THE AFTERNOON. AND HERE’S A LOOK AT THOSE TEMPERATURES NOT TOO FAR AWAY FROM THAT 32 DEGREE MARK. SO JUST ABOVE FREEZING IN HARRISBURG, SELINSGROVE, LEBANON AND LANCASTER, 34 IN YORK AND CARLISLE. SO WE WANT TO TAKE IT EASY ON BRIDGES, OVERPASSES AS YOU MAKE YOUR WAY OUT, BECAUSE IT MAY LOOK WET. THERE STILL COULD BE THOUGH. HOWEVER, SOME SLIPPERY CONDITIONS, SLICK CONDITIONS. SO THE NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST CALLS FOR LIGHT RAIN, FOG AND MIST THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES RIGHT AROUND 36 AS WE HEAD TOWARDS SEVEN 8:00. WINDS ARE LIGHT TO START THE DAY, BUT NOTICE THE RED HERE INDICATING IT IS AN ALERT DAY. AND THAT IS BECAUSE THE WINDS WILL BE INCREASING AFTER 1 P.M. TEMPERATURES UPPER 40, BUT AREAS SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST COULD MAKE IT INTO THE 50S. AND THEN THIS EVENING, IT’S ALL ABOUT THOSE WIND GUSTS CLOSE TO 60MPH. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL BACK INTO THE UPPER 30S. WE STAY WITH THOSE STRONG WINDS OVERNIGHT TONIGHT. TEMPERATURES FALL INTO THE 20S, BUT IT WILL FEEL LIKE THE TEENS WITH THOSE GUSTY CONDITIONS. AND EVEN TOMORROW WE HAVE IT AS AN ALERT DAY BECAUSE THE STRONG WINDS WILL STILL BE AROUND TEMPERATURES ONLY AROUND 30 DEGREES. BUT FEELING LIKE THE TEENS, WE HAVE A HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT AT 1 P.M. TODAY THROUGH 4 P.M. ON MONDAY. AND THAT’S IN ANTICIPATION OF THOSE STRONG WINDS. CHECK OUT THE WIND GUSTS FORECAST ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL, SHOWING WELL OVER 50MPH IN THE EVENING AND PART OF THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD. STILL NEAR 50 MILE PER HOUR WIND GUSTS EXPECTED FOR THE EARLY PART OF MONDAY. AND THEN THE WINDS WILL START TO EASE UP AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE DAY. SO SUSTAINED WINDS 20 TO 30MPH, WITH THOSE GUSTS 50 TO 60 POSSIBLE. AND AGAIN, I SHOWED YOU WHEN THE HIGHEST WOULD BE THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT PERIOD AND EARLY MONDAY. DAMAGING WINDS WILL BLOW DOWN TREES AND POWER LINES. IT IS A POSSIBILITY. ALSO WANT TO SECURE ANYTHING THAT’S LOOSE AROUND THE YARD LIKE TRASH CANS, RECYCLE BINS AND WE WILL BE WATCHING FOR SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES THAT WILL BE POSSIBLE. CERTAINLY WANT TO USE CAUTION WHILE YOU’RE DRIVING, SO LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT PREDICTOR. THIS IS 8:00. YOU START TO SEE THAT SHOWER ACTIVITY MAKING ITS WAY IN. COULD EVEN HAVE A RUMBLE OF THUNDER AS WELL. THERE’S SOME UPPER LEVEL DYNAMICS THAT INDICATE THAT. AND THEN YOU CAN SEE SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE INTO THE AFTERNOON BEFORE WE FINALLY DRY OUT THIS EVENING. AND THEN MONDAY WE’RE LOOKING AT MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS. BUT THOSE WINDS ARE GOING TO BE THE STORY, ALONG WITH HOW IT FEELS OUTSIDE THOSE COLD TEMPERATURES AND EVEN ACTUAL AIR TEMPERATURES STAY WELL BELOW AVERAGE. HERE’S YOUR TEN DAY FORECAST. WE’RE LOOKING AT HIGHS ONLY IN THE UPPER 20S. TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. WE ARE WATCHING A SYSTEM ON THURSDAY COULD CLIP US WITH SOME SNOW. IT CONTINUES TO TRACK TO THE EAST AND SOUTHEAST. THAT’S GOOD NEWS FOR US BECAUSE THAT MEANS LESS SNOW CHANCES. WE’LL KEEP YOU POSTED ON ANY CHANGES,
