Northwest Alabama and Lauderdale County, uh, this image was sent in by the Lauderdale County Emergency Management, and this was the roof blown off around Lee Street in Rogersville. So this is the type of damage that we can expect within some of these isolated storms that could turn *** bit more severe, not only from the potential of tornadoes, but. The damaging wind guss talking about gusts up to 60 if not 70 MPH on the high end so we’re gonna keep an eye out for any damaged pictures like this. Near that area looking for damage too, there’s *** tree down involving power lines in *** pole in Stony Brook Trail. Power outages on the west side of Fultondale 2. Tree down on River Trace Parkway in West Hoover, Treeown and on Valleydale Road, *** tree down on Palmerdale Road in the Palmerdale area, Palmerdale area, um. *** lot of trees down and these trees tend to knock down power lines and that can cause some power outages and we have *** lot of them across Alabama.

A storm threat Saturday brought the chance for severe overnight weather, including the risk of tornadoes, strong winds and flooding.

Nearly 200,000 customers were without power overnight Saturday.

Emergency management officials and WVTM 13 crews are reporting damages.

Blount County

  • Power pole on fire on Maple Road in Cleveland
  • Tree across the road on US Highway 31 in Hayden
  • Tree down on road on Bud Mountain Road in Blountsville
  • Trees down on: Pine Mountain Road in Remlap, Fowler Springs Road in Blountsville, County Highway 15 in Cleveland, Skyline Drive in Warrior, County Highway 47 in Blountsville, County Highway 5 in Hayden

Calhoun County

  • Tree on structure on Knollwood Drive in Anniston

Etowah County

  • Tree down blocking both lanes of Highway 132 ahead of West End Elementary
  • Tree fell onto house in Gadsden
  • Tree down on 12th Street in Gadsden

Fayette County

  • Tree on house near Southside Baptist Church

Hale County

  • Tree down on home on 2nd Ave in Moundville with people trapped
  • Tree blocking both lanes of Highway 231 at Stevens Farm Road in Asheville
  • Trees down throughout county

Jefferson County

  • Tree down with power line along Howard Avenue in Adamsville
